Asheville therapy for trauma, anxiety, depression and neurodivergence

In-Person Therapy in Asheville | Online Therapy Across North Carolina

You want to make a change, but aren’t sure where to start

You’re self-aware (almost too self-aware, it feels like some days), and you’ve always handled what life throws at you. On the outside, you’re holding it all together, but internally, you’re in survival mode.

Whether it’s the constant anxiety, disconnection from yourself or your loved ones, or feeling stuck in this phase of your life, therapy can help you reconnect with yourself and find a way forward by understanding and working with the ways your nervous system adapted to what you’ve been through.

Let’s Work With Your Nervous System

Many of the patterns that feel frustrating—overthinking, shutdown, people-pleasing, disconnection—didn’t come out of nowhere. They’re responses your system developed to help you navigate something difficult or overwhelming.

Over time, these same patterns can begin to run automatically in ways that are no longer supportive.

This is where therapy often needs to go deeper than just talk therapy. We go beyond recognizing the pattern to working with where it’s stored in the body.

Together, we’ll help you learn to recognize, listen, and respond to what your body is communicating. This might look like noticing when:

  • Your body tightens or braces.

  • Your mind speeds up or gets stuck in loops.

  • You start to disconnect or go quiet.

Rather than pushing past those moments, we learn to stay with them—at a pace that feels safe enough to your system—so they can begin to shift from the inside out, creating a ripple effect into your daily life, relationships, and self-worth..

Hi, I’m Brooke

I’m a trauma therapist helping women and LGBTQ+ individuals reconnect with themselves and their bodies as they step into lives they love.

I offer therapy that partners with your nervous system. I pay close attention to what’s happening beneath the surface, how your system is responding, what stuck points come up, and how we can move with your body.

My approach integrates EMDR, parts work, and somatic practices, but just as important is how we collaborate within sessions.

We go at a pace that feels right for you.
We include the parts of you that feel hesitant or unsure.
We work with your system, not against it.

I am an LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent affirming therapist , and a Health At Every Size (HAES) provider. My work is grounded in a social justice–oriented perspective, which means I honor your unique identity and lived experiences and understand that our mental health is impacted by the systems we have to navigate.

I won’t pathologize you or treat view you as someone to be fixed. I’ll support  you as you step into your strength and build confidence and trust in who you are.
